Meet Check Engine Light DOB: 9/10/2024Spayed • Fully Vaccinated • Litter Box TrainedHer name is Check Engine Light—not because she’s broken, but because sometimes the most precious things in life come with a little extra love needed.This sweet young tortie girl is missing one eye, but please don’t look at her and see what’s gone. Look closer, and you’ll see what remains: a huge, open heart. A purr that starts the moment she sees you. A playful spirit that never learned how to give up, even when life got complicated.She was surrendered to us through no fault of her own. Her previous family adored her, but their senior cats couldn’t keep up with her bright, youthful energy. It was a heartbreaking decision made for everyone’s well-being—but it left this gentle soul confused, and wondering where her people went.Now she’s here. Safe. Waiting.Check Engine Light is a quiet kind of brave. She plays, she snuggles, she adapts. She may look a little different—but she doesn’t see herself as anything less than whole. And neither do we.She’s ready for a forever home where she can be loved for exactly who she is: a one-eyed wonder with a bottomless heart and so much life to give.Please consider opening your heart to this beautiful girl. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it.
