My story

This beautiful lady is Dixie! She arrived at the shelter as a lost girl on 5/31, and sadly, no one has come to reclaim her. Dixie is calm in her kennel, but fun and playful once outside. The volunteers describe her as very sweet and attentive to the people around her. Dixie does know how to sit and lay down nicely when asked. Dixie is still quite young so please ensure you have the time, patience, and energy to commit to her before adopting. Dixie is approximately 1 year old and weighs 35 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines and did test negative for heartworms. She is spayed and will be microchipped upon adoption. Dixie is waiting patiently in run 86; her ID # is 10481. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
