My story

Emma is a graceful, loving girl with the heart of an old soul. At 7 years old, she’s past the kitten chaos and prefers the simpler pleasures in life—soft beds, gentle pets, and quiet companionship.She’s incredibly sweet and easygoing, the kind of cat who seems to understand more than she lets on. Emma thrives in calm environments and would be the perfect companion for someone looking for a mellow, affectionate feline friend.Emma does have hyperthyroidism, a common and manageable condition in older cats. She`ll need consistent care, which may include medication and regular vet visits, but in return, she’ll give you her quiet loyalty and love for all her golden years.If you`re looking for a kind-hearted companion who just wants to be loved and cared for, Emma is ready to fill that space in your home—and your heart.Adoptable cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, started on core vaccines per shelter protocols, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, and started on monthly preventatives. Adoptions hours (no appointment needed) are M/T/W/F 10 am - 12:30 pm and 2 pm -4 pm; TH 10 am -12:30 pm and 2 pm -6:30 pm, and SAT 9 am -1 pm. To schedule an appointment outside of those hours, and/or to learn more information regarding a particular animal, please call the Feline Department at 410-848-4810 ext 822. If no one answers, please leave a detailed message with your name and phone number, and the call will be returned by end of business Monday - Friday. Adopters can prepare for their visit by being 21 years of age or older, having permission from their landlord to bring a new pet into their household, having some form of ID that shows their current address, and by bringing a suitable carrier to take their new companion home in. The adoption fee can be paid using cash, debit or credit and is based on age: Cats 1 year and younger are $75; cats 2 years to 7 years are $50; and 8 years and older are $25.
