My story

Meet Winston Jones, a 12-year-old, 15-pound Yorkie with a heart full of love and a story that deserves a happy ending. Winston came to us from another shelter, arriving with a large mass on his right side, limited vision, and hearing loss—he’s almost completely blind and can barely hear. But despite it all, he’s as sweet as can be. His gentle, quiet presence makes him an easy companion to love. Winston enjoys being around people and is good with other dogs, especially those who are respectful of his space and pace. He's currently working on his leash walking and potty training, though his age and sensory challenges mean he’ll need a patient adopter who’s willing to go slow and provide a calm, supportive environment. This resilient little guy is looking for a peaceful home where he can feel safe, loved, and comfortable. A soft bed, a steady routine, and a kind soul to care for him — that’s all Winston needs to thrive in his golden years. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs. EIN # 46-5486022
