My story

Piper is friendly, tenderhearted and will dote on her human companion. Entering a new home will be awkward to her so Piper will start out bashful and reserved. Once she feels safe and comfortable, Piper will seek out your attention. She is wonderful company, and Piper may sleep nestled up to you during the night! Her ideal home is with an individual, couple or family. It is unknown how Piper will interact with other cats. She is not crazy about dogs, but Piper was witnessed going nose-to-nose with a large cat-friendly dog as they are slowly becoming friends. She has a black medium length coat that shows off a white locket. As of June 2025, Piper is 10 months old. She has a tear on her left ear due to an unknown reason. Friends of Jackson County Animal Shelter Pets (FJCASP) is a foster-based rescue for dogs and cats. All pets are in a home environment cared for by a foster person who provides temporary care until the pet can be placed in a permanent home. Friends of Jackson County is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
