Chloe (Toph)

My story

Toph is soft, gentle, and affectionate, however, you need to dig through a few layers to get to the glittering crystals hidden beneath her surface. Her alter ego, Chloe, is unable to stay in her home due to circumstances beyond her control. Her previous family has lovingly provided us with all of her favorite items: her cave bed, soft carrier, baby blanket, teddy bear, food dish, and toys. In foster care, Toph typically takes 2 weeks to feel at home and it’s not uncommon for her to voice her displeasure about the service she receives. She loves to be brushed, groomed, and bathed (yes, she really does!) and might be a great addition for a professional groomer or cosmetologist. Toph is great at holding a conversation, but she tends to interrupt and direct the conversation back to herself. She is playful and minds her manners with her claws. We are seeking a home where she can be an only cat, however, she may do well with an adult who ignores her-she likes to screech/hiss at her foster siblings and likes all eyes on her. She could live with a gentle, calm, and considerate dog, enjoys the company of teenaged or older humans, and is indoor-only.
