My story

Abby is a stunning 45-pound Australian Shepherd with a coat as striking as her spirit—swirls of red, white, and black with markings that turn heads. But while her beauty is undeniable, it’s her heart and resilience that make her truly special. Until recently, Abby lived her life outdoors alongside eight other dogs. She didn’t know the comfort of a warm home, soft bed, or gentle one-on-one attention. But that has changed. Abby is doing great in her temporary foster home and setting in very nicely to being a beloved family member. She’ll thrive with someone patient and understanding—someone who can help her navigate this transition from outdoor life to cherished companion. She’s already showing how much she wants to belong. There is no magic formula for Abby, she just needs a little time to observe how things work in this new world (bonus points if there's another friendly dog to show her the ropes) and someone to gently guide her along. Already Abby is doing terrific on her house, leash and crate training! A very special girl! Her journey is just beginning—and it’s going to be beautiful.
