Ramon

My story

Ramon is a sweet, affectionate, energetic one-year old dog looking for his furever home. He had a rough start to life when he was confiscated from a neglectful situation and taken to the shelter where he tested positive for parvo. He has since transformed into a healthy and happy guy. He loves people and thinks everyone should be his best friend. He loves spending time with you whether its going for a walk, playing fetch in the yard, or snuggling on the couch. He loves to get butt scratches and head rubs and will give you kisses in return. Ramon has lots of young playful energy, but he’s also great in his crate when it’s time to settle down. He’s happy having some alone time with a bone or peanut butter kong. This boy loves peanut butter! He’s potty trained and can go all night without accidents. Ramon recently completed a two-week board and train program. In training, he learned how to walk in a heel position, how to walk loose leash without pulling, and basic commands like “sit”, “place”, “paw”, “off”, and “down”. Everyday he’s working hard on practicing his commands and channeling his energy. He’s ready to show you what a good boy he is. He’s a smart dog that’s eager to learn, so he wants a family that’s willing to continue working on his training with him. Ramon has previously lived with other young dogs, so he would likely do well with a dog friend that matches his playful energy. He has a rough play style but takes corrections from other dogs well. Slow introductions are recommended to make sure he’s a good match with any new doggy friends. He would do best in a home without cats. He loves all people, including children, but he can be a bit strong and energetic for really small children. If you’re looking for a playful, snuggly companion, Ramon is the good boy for you!
