My story

Meet Pluto! Breed: Doberman Age: 1 year Location: Edmonton, AB Personality: Enjoy being constantly greeted with a smiling dobey who wants neck scratches first and foremost with his head buried in your lap. Boost of serotonin right there.Goofy boy who's ready to start the day with lots of play with his human or dog sibling.High energy, still learning manners as a puppy. Very eager and smart. Learns very quickly, can learn any trick/command within minutes.Would do amazingly in activity classes. Was surrendered for resource guarding. Likes: Loves games of chase, adores playing with other dogs, all dogs, any dogs. Learning fetch and loving it, loves having a job to do/training while getting paid with treats. Loves most chews, raw, bully sticks, tendons.. Mostly all food. Dislikes: Puppy still learning to enjoy grooming, would rather cuddle up on the couch or a dog bed than in his crate. But will happily sleep in his crate once settled or for a chew. Does not like having stuff taken away from him (so you need to be patient and creative). He is currently being fostered by a certified dog trainer to work on this! Ideal Home: Patient and experienced owner. A home where puppyhood is understood, with a family that focuses on mental and physical stimulation. A tired puppy is a happy puppy. Familiarity with resource guarding and positive reinforcement training would be ideal.  ‍‍‍ Family: Gets along well with other dogs, learning to live with cats currently, kids not recommended due to resource guarding Health: Pluto has had a few instances of idiopathic head tremors recently, which are common in Dobermans, but not harmful. He is currently on a trial of behavioral medication. Adoption Fee: $500 Pluto has been neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. All adopters must agree not to use any punitive training methods.
