My story

Meet Choco – Your Sweet, Gentle Terrier Mix! • Name: Choco • Age: 6 months • Sex: Neutered Male • Breed: Terrier Mix • Color: Brown/Black • Weight: 12.5 kg (27.5 lbs) • Height (Shoulder): 42 cm (16.5 in) • Neutered: Yes Choco is a charming and affectionate young pup with a sweet and gentle soul. While he may be a bit shy in new environments at first, he quickly warms up—especially if you offer him a tasty treat! Once he gets comfortable, he happily allows petting and will even show you his belly. He can be picked up easily and responds well to gentle handling. Though he’s still young, Choco has a calm and friendly nature. He enjoys the company of other dogs, especially those close to his size or smaller. He’s not the roughhousing type—he prefers a few close canine friends over big group play, and if a bigger or more dominant dog gets too rowdy, he’ll politely back away or offer his belly in submission. Choco hasn’t had a chance to meet cats yet, but based on his temperament, we believe a cat introduction is likely to go well. A test can be arranged if needed. He enjoys outdoor walks and exploring with his nose, though busy roads and unexpected obstacles (like people suddenly blocking the way) can make him hesitate. With patient guidance, he’s quick to follow and gaining confidence each day. His energy level is moderate—he loves outdoor time but also settles down nicely afterward. Choco is calm in the crate during car rides (though he prefers to be lifted into the car), and shows no signs of separation anxiety. He is doing well with outdoor potty training and does not mark. He’s also very gentle around food and does not guard resources, whether around people or other dogs. Rescue Story: Choco and his siblings were born to a stray mother dog in a greenhouse in the countryside. Sadly, the mother was chased away by the owner shortly after giving birth, leaving the puppies alone. The puppies were taken in and raised by another nursing mother dog who accepted them as her own. Thanks to this second chance, Choco is healthy, well-socialized, and ready to find his forever home. Lia and Milk come from the same litter. Choco is looking for a loving home where he can continue to blossom. With a little patience and a lot of love, this sweet boy will make an incredible companion. Could you be the one for him? You can also see his post on our Facebook (Link to Post) or instagram (Link to Post) Send in your application today through our website https://adoptmekoreanrescue.org/adoption-application/   AKR dogs can arrive at Vancouver or Toronto airport and may be able to arrive at some US airports (Seattle, LA, NY, Boston etc) where we have flight volunteers. If interested, please contact us. ##2421186##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Choco, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
