My story

Meet Sahara — a bright, bouncy pup with a huge heart and a playful spirit. At just 5 months old, Sahara is full of love, curiosity, and puppy energy. She’s ready for a forever home that’s active, affectionate, and committed to helping her grow into her best self! Personality & Characteristics:  Sahara is a loving, people-oriented pup who thrives on attention and playtime. She’s affectionate and enjoys cuddling, but also needs structure, stimulation, and a consistent routine to help her feel confident and secure.   My foster dog is good with:  Kids (she loves children and is very friendly!) Dogs (nervous and reactive, needs slow intro) Cats (hasn’t been tested yet)   My foster dog is:  Crate trained (still learning to self-soothe) Working on house training (uses pee pads + outdoor walks) Low to medium shed   3 Keywords for your pup:  Playful · Affectionate · Energetic   Energy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy):  8/10 – Sahara has lots of puppy energy! She loves to play, explore, and be engaged throughout the day.   Barker? Or Quiet Pup?:  Can be vocal, especially when seeking attention or unsure. Still learning how to self-regulate and feel secure when alone.   Walking Manners:  Learning! She’s still getting used to the leash and can be hesitant around loud streets or unfamiliar environments. She does best with patient, short walks and a calm pace.   Appetite:  Eats twice a day, enjoys her Farmers Dog meals. She’s very food motivated but doesn’t drink much water on her own, so we add water to her meals.   Favorite Things:  Playing tug and fetch Chewing (she’s teething!) People — especially kids Following you around the apartment Teething toys and soft blankets   Commands/Tricks:  Working on “Sit,” “Come,” “Drop it,” and crate training. She’s very smart and learns best with patience and positive reinforcement.   ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs. Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States and Korea. ##2418902##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Sahara, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
