Dulce de Leche

My story

Dulce de Leche is at our shelter. Please submit an application from our website or just come in to meet her during open hours! Beautiful Dulce comes to us all the way from Puerto Rico. She and her sister Kari were found as tiny puppies and taken in off the streets by a good samaritan. An organization down there helped get them vaccinated and healthy enough to travel, and sent the girls to a waiting foster in Chicago. Dulce and Kari are now at our shelter and ready for their new lives to begin! Dulce is such a sweet pup. She is of course dealing with a bit of culture shock, but she is handling everything like the resilient pup that she is! Dulce never had to walk on a leash before, so she is learning how to do that, and we are often carrying her outside and with patience, lots of high pitched voices and treats, of course- she is getting the hang of it! Dulce loves affection, and though she is shy she just soaks it all up. She of course loves dogs! She is going to be a great pet, and we are so excited to give her this chance at a happy life. We hope you will come and meet this beauty today! Dulce's adoption fee is $450. She is spayed and is up to date on core vaccines. She will need a Heartworm test between 6-7 months of age.
