My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:I would do best in a home with only adult humans.I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I'm ready for pets.I'll need daily interaction with you as I get used to my new life.A volunteer writes: You wouldn't know just by looking at him, but Sir Baki is really a water-dog. When he discovered the doggie pool sitting in the play-yard, he gingerly approached it, then cautiously dipped one paw in. Well, after that, he hopped right in and never looked back! Splashing around and happily digging at the water, he was completely in his element.And when he saw that his leash was in the water, he picked it up, climbed out of the pool, and gently laid it on the grass, then jumped back in and resumed his mission of trying to discover what exactly is at the bottom of the water. (He did the same thing when I tossed a toy into the pool).Once back on land, Baki has just as much fun interacting with me. He absolutely loves having his back scratched and his cheeks rubbed; and is very attentive - running up to me when I call him over, sitting for treats (which he takes politely), and always greeting me all wiggly and waggly.Sir Baki's previous family tell us he's playful and friendly with children, including those he lived with, and with other dogs. He also did very well when meeting other dogs at the shelter. Baki is reported to be housetrained and has been at the shelter, too.
