My foster writes: Mr. Iceberg is just one big hunk of a guy - Berg for short. He can be very shy when first meeting him, but he will always approach if you hold out a hand for pets! Once he deems you worthy enough to pet him he just "melts". Log rolls, big plops, and biscuit feet are what you get when you start brushing him. He will even stand up, do a few laps, just so he can plop down on the ground and roll again. While he does have boundaries, he is very smart and chill with communicating them. If it's all a bit too much for him, he'll either give you the widest eyed look as he shys away, or will lightly nom on your hand to say that he does want to play with his string toy instead - he's never swatted or actually bit me! All he needs to thrive is some good food, a low sitting box to hide in, and a slicker brush. If you're looking for a big ole guy who loves to munch and has the most "meow" meow you'll ever hear, then I'm sure Mr. Iceberg will melt your heart! My other Foster wrote: Looking for a cool, low-maintenance companion who marches to the beat of his own paws? Mister Iceman is a sweet, playful oddball with a love for string toys, morning cheek scratches, and following you into the bathroom like your personal bodyguard. He's a chill guy who appreciates respectful vibes, quiet households, and daily play sessions to keep his brain and paws busy. Sure, he has a few silly habits (sniffing walls, licking plastic bags, and staring into the abyss), but that just adds to his charm. He might not be a lap cat-yet-but he will warm up to anyone who respects his boundaries and weird little ways. Think of him as your slightly mysterious but totally loyal roommate. 🐾What my friends at ACC say about me:I have lived with cats in my previous home.I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I'm ready for pets.I am playful and cute!A volunteer writes: The version of Ice I see each day is quite a bit different than who he was before, but all versions of ourselves are entitled to a little patience, especially when we're doing our best to get through the day. Each time I walk by Ice's condo, I see only his den. Though he's been here almost a month, I've yet to have the pleasure of seeing him. However, I know that inside that den is a little cat with a big heart who is simply trying his best. Before coming to the Care Center, Ice was known as a friendly, curious, and gentle cat who enjoyed pouncing on toys and lived with other cats. The Care Center isn't the place for this very sweet guy. He's someone who prefers to introduce himself on his own terms and it can take him a little while to feel comfortable, which throws a bit of a wrench into Care Center life. We know that there's something better out there for Ice and can't wait for you to meet him. Primary Color: Gray Weight: 9.875 Age: 5yrs 3mths 4wks
