My story

“Sometimes my lip gets stuck on my teeth” “And sometimes I act silly in the shelter even though I’m a very good boy!!” This is Sawyer! This gorgeous, long eared, short legged, hazel colored boy is looking for a foster home where we can learn more about him. He is fun; he’s always looking for things to do, toys to play with, and people to feed him. We want to give him all these things but sometimes we get busy. Because he was found as a lost pet we really haven’t seen him in a home environment which is why we want to see him in a foster home! We want to see what type of environment he’s looking for, or if he’s even the same dog once he’s out of the demanding shelter environment! If you want to help a handsome guy out definitely let us know or email foster@lynchburghumane.org. He is approximately 65 lbs of droopy skin. We believe he’s a Blood Hound mix of sorts but to us he looks like a big Dachshund. He was a little reserved when he first came in but now he’s got a big personality! He walks so nicely on a leash and is believed to be house trained.
