My story

** If you are interested in Nori, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** There's nothing like sweet puppy energy and silliness! Nori is an adorable, wiggly, little girl. She is believed to be a Schnauzer / Labrador mix. At just 8 weeks old, this little gal was found roaming the streets with her sister in New Mexico. Nori is currently a tiny 6 and a half pounds, and expected to be about 25-30 lbs when full grown. Nori, although she was understandably a bit nervous at the shelter, has blossomed into the happy puppy that she is and has shown that she is a silly, playful little pup. She really enjoys people and other dogs. We would prefer, however, to place her in a home with older kids (tail pulling or rough treatment with a puppy will create an adult dog that's fearful of children). Older kids can be active participants in a training regimen and friendship that's so important in a dog's development. Since Nori is just a puppy, she's a blank slate just waiting for a kind and patient human to show her the way. She has all the potential in the world to be an awesome adult companion. Nori will form firm bonds with her family and learn positive socialization skills through virtual or in-person positive reinforcement puppy kindergarten followed by force-free level 1 Obedience Classes. These classes will make a profound difference in a puppy's ultimate behavior and in their relationship/bonding with their people. It does take time and commitment...yet pays off a thousand times over when you have a dog that can accompany you out in the world with excellent behavior. Nori has already received her first round of vaccines, as well as her deworming, microchip, and spay — all covered by Farfel’s. As with all young puppies, she will need two more rounds of core vaccines to be fully protected, plus her rabies vaccine at four months of age. Until she has completed her last 2 rounds of parvo/distemper vaccines, it’s important to keep her off public ground like parks or pet stores where unvaccinated dogs may have been. Any remaining vaccines and preventatives (including starting heartworm prevention ASAP) will be the responsibility of her adopter, who will play an essential role in keeping her safe and healthy as she grows. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. Applications are currently being accepted for our wonderful pup. If interested in this gorgeous, very cuddly/sweet and loving best friend, please fill out an application completely at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Nori, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
