My story

Meet Hercules! 🐾This 7-year-old, 16.5-pound Chihuahua mix is as sweet as they come. Hercules is a loving little guy who enjoys lounging in your lap or hanging out close by—he’s happiest when he’s near his person.Hercules is calm, affectionate, and gets along well with other calm dogs. He’s treat-motivated, which makes training and bonding easy and fun. He’s likely house trained, and has been very well-behaved in his foster home. He sleeps quietly beside his person at night and doesn’t bark excessively.He did great around kids at a community parade—letting them approach and pet him calmly. He didn’t bark once and handled the excitement like a pro! He walks decently on a leash and just needs a little practice to build confidence.The only thing Hercules isn’t a fan of? Cats—he may give chase, so a cat-free home would be best.If you’re looking for a sweet, steady, and snuggly companion with a playful spirit and a big heart, Hercules is your guy. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as "Out of Town" pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it.
