Meet Bessie – A Resilient Sweetheart Ready for Her Forever Home! Bessie is a gentle, social soul who’s traveled quite the journey — all the way from the Hoosier State of Indiana to the Buckeye State in search of a better life and a forever family. She arrived at our shelter in mid-March, transferred from an overcrowded shelter where she didn’t have the chance to shine. We may never know how Bessie ended up in that situation, but what we do know is that she deserves so much more. This lovely lady has faced her share of challenges. Upon arrival, she needed treatment for a painful ear infection and required medical attention for three toenails that had sadly grown into her paw pads — a sure sign of the neglect she endured. She also had to wait patiently for a dental appointment to have several teeth removed to relieve her discomfort. But despite all of that, Bessie never let her sweet spirit fade. Now that she's healed and feeling so much better, Bessie is finally ready to find the loving home she’s always deserved. She’s incredibly affectionate, loves attention and thrives on human interaction. If you're looking for a furry friend who will return your kindness tenfold and melt into your lap for love, Bessie could be your perfect match.
