My story

Hi, I'm Cookie! If you are seeking a sweet and loving companion for walks and to be a snuggle bug by your side at home, I am the perfect match for you! I'm gentle and well-behaved most of the time (and even know how to use a doggy door), but I'm also an alert watch dog without being too yappy. I love squeaky toys and belly rubs, and my favorite part of the day is my walk on a leash (oh, and meal times, yum). I was adopted from a pound last summer as a BFF for a senior pet parent and we were so happy together, but due to unexpected health reasons, she can no longer care for me. My foster family thinks I’m adorable, but they can't adopt me because it turns out that I just can’t get along with cats — and they have two feline furballs, grrrr. That’s why I’m so glad Forte Animal Rescue is helping me find my forever home at last! I might be a little scared and clingy for a bit after I’m first adopted, but I know I’ll be soooo happy very soon with kind and affectionate humans who can be with me lots of the time.
