Aries - Peke Puppy

My story

Apply to Adopt Me! Hi, my name is Aries, and I’m a 12-week-old, currently 7.3lb. and growing Pekingese tomboy!! I live with my foster mom and her furkids while I’m waiting for my perfect home. I’m homeschooled and so smart... wise beyond my tender age. For instance, my sis Artemis and I have taught ourselves to frolic in and out of the doggie door. Mom said teaching ourselves too many things can get us into trouble. Playing with the funny flap is super fun, though, and mom is constantly watching us. When I dress up in my handsome orange harness I keep myself busy teaching mom proper leash etiquette. She’s not the quick learner that I am, but everyone doesn’t have my superior intellect. We make a good team though. The human/dog bond can’t be beat!!!   I also love to wrestle with my sister and our dog friends, whether in the yard or around the house. Sometimes we switch directions in mid run just to test our lightning fast reflexes. Helping myself with toys from the toy box, finding a way to manage a few extra treats and stealing ice cubes from the community water bowl are a couple of my other accomplishments! I’m hoping to find a home where I’ll get lots of attention, cuddles, high quality food and lots of treats. Did I mention I love other dogs, too? Potty training is a work in progress that I am learning, and I do need frequent trips outside like all puppies. I still have sharp puppy teeth so will need many toys to chew on. Like all puppies, I will need someone present to take me out every two to three hours during the day while house training. I will also need continued socialization with other people and dogs. Since I am not potty trained and need to learn to walk on a leash, I need a fenced yard. Our walks should be  shorter and during cooler times of the day too to avoid me overheating or having breathing difficulties. I would probably do well with a small fenced yard or a patio area with some grass to hang out together with you. Like all Peke pups I will need good grooming/brushing to prevent matting and daily care for facial folds after meals.If you live in the Central Florida (Orlando) area and think you would be the perfect forever home for Aries, we'd love to find out more about you.
