My story

Avocado recently came into our care as part of a colony trapping exercise on Salt Spring. FIVE young adult cats have been brought in so far from the colony. Avocado (and his brother Potato are the first two ready to move into FURever homes. (The other cats are Pesto, Tomato, and Gelato). Avocado is a curious and adventurous cat. Initially he was very wary of human touch, but now he LOVES to rub against his foster mom and loves being pet. Avocado is very food motivated (which has greatly assisted with the socialization) and loves to wrestle with his brother, Potato. These boys would do well to be placed together, in a home with lots of space to run. It will be important for Avocado to be introduced slowly and securely to his new home environment so that he feels safe and confident. His confidence would be increased by placing him with another familiar cat to play with. Avocado has been neutered, vaccinated (FVRCP and rabies), treated for fleas and parasites, microchipped, and tested for FIV / FeLV (negative). For more information about Avocado, or to set up an appointment to meet him, please reach out: phone / text – 236-508-2287 or email – info@catsofsaltspring.com

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Avocado, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
