Foster Update: "Her Friendliness shone at Snowden Grove Tennis Center on Saturday. She made friends with players, parents and tournament staff. She went home early cause it was HOT and she absolutely HATES spending time away from people even if it means AC. Her separation anxiety is definitely a challenge and makes routine tasks; like taking out the trash or getting an item from the car difficult. She is quick and determined to join me on any exit. Fortunately, she has zero interest in running away; but I have added a smart tag to her collar as a precaution. She is beginning to charm as well as annoy her grumpy old man dog (10+) of a brother and they will play and wrestle. They also sing a nightly duet of “where’s our supper” that I evidently cue when kibble hits the bowl. We had a play date at a friends with her 2 male pups. A 3 yr old tank of pitty mix and a 6 yr old that shares her long legs and body shape. She was a lil overwhelmed for the first minutes but all greetings were friendly if exuberant. They had a blast chasing the rude squirrel, wrasslin, getting treats and snuggles. She needs an AI high jump video or across the Grand Canyon, Mississippi River, Eiffel Tower pick your land mark. Her leaps are unreal. She slept soo hard! She would make someone a great running partner. Other career choices are agility, jumping, possibly a therapy dog with some maturity. But she definitely needs a job. Her energy, smarts and curiosity need positive directions and outlets. She deserves a great family!!" Meet Maddie – Practically Perfect! Maddie is a smart, alert, and food-motivated girl who has quickly made herself right at home! She’s confident, affectionate, and knows exactly what she wants—like claiming the best spot on the couch. Maddie is working on her manners with her foster brother. She loves to challenge him during play and sometimes tries to guard her foster mom’s affection, but she’s making great progress! She’s already learned that sitting politely gets her treats faster and takes treats gently—even when she’s excited! Maddie has no issues sharing space during mealtime and patiently waits her turn, though she’s not above helping herself to her foster brother’s leftovers if he walks away. Maddie is doing great with house training and clearly prefers to go potty outside. If you’re looking for a sweet, sassy, and practically perfect pup to join your family, Maddie might just be your girl!
