My story

Meet sweet Syl, a gorgeous 2-year-old short-haired mama cat who came to us from a Southern Illinois animal control just in time to safely welcome her beautiful babies into the world. On April 23, 2025, Syl gave birth to a precious litter of kittens, and she’s been an incredible, nurturing mama ever since. Syl is gentle, affectionate, and has a quiet strength about her—she loves soft blankets, calm spaces, and the occasional head scratch from someone she trusts. Her short, sleek coat and expressive eyes give her a regal look, but she`s all heart. As her kittens grow and begin to explore the world, Syl is finally getting the chance to rest, recover, and enjoy a life full of comfort and care. She’ll be ready for adoption once her babies are weaned, and soon her little ones will be looking for homes too. The adoption center is located at 5915 W Lincoln Ave in Morton Grove, IL 60053. It is open Thursday & Friday, 4 pm-8 pm and Saturday & Sunday, 11 am-5 pm.
