My story

We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving on 6/14/25 to NorCal and OR. Surrounding states will be added to our route if needed ☺️ We would love to add Preston to our trip for the right home 💕 Meet our adorable little man Preston. He is slightly over 5 years of age. He is a purebred toy poodle weighing in at 4.5 lbs. Yes, he is full grown and at a very healthy weight. He is neutered, microchipped, current on all vaccines, and had an overall great exam with our vet who has cleared him to find a home all his own ❤️ First thing! He doesn't have any teeth. Sadly due to not having g any type of dental cleanings throughout his life, and being fed can food his teeth all decayed and had to be removed. Yes, his tounge hangs out of his mouth. If you aren't okay with that, then there is nothing we can do to change it as that's just the way he is and to us it makes him even more adorable! He currently eats Fresh pet and enjoys it very much, so he has no problem eating, and will need to be kept on a soft diet indefinitely due to not having any teeth. Don't let him not having teeth deter you from adding this sweet boy to your life, it's not his fault that his prior owners didn't care for his teeth. He truly is one of the sweetest, most kind hearted, beautiful little souls you'll ever be graced with meeting let alone calling your own so let his heart speak for who he is and not the things he can't change about himself ❤️ He is very sweet with other dogs, but doesn't really care to much about other animals. He is more of a Lone Ranger type of guy who is just happy being with his person, in your arms, your lap, or securely in his own bed near by. He would be fine if you had another sweet friend for him to join in life, but aside from giving good cuddles, he wouldn't be much of a "playmate," as he is very calm natured, serene tempered, and just "chill!" He is NOT high energy at all, and you never know he is there unless you go looking for him. He is quiet, keeps to himself, and doesn't require much of anything to be happy! He is just simply happy being a part of your day however that looks for you ❤️ He is not a barker at all. He again, is very quiet. He doesn't really mind what's going on around him and just knows his humans will keep him safe. He has a very trusting energy, and not a real care in his tiny little body for unnecessary things that would take him from his comfy spot 😂 He is very well behaved in the home, and is just EASY in every single way. He is a total love, and is sure to make anyone's heart and home full by just becoming a part of them ❤️ He is house trained, but due to his small size he is always accompanied by one of us as we have a lot of wildlife here. He is also pad trained, and will use pads inbetween us taking him out if he needs to. He is completely dependent on us to go outside, so we have a great schedule for him throughout the day which he thrives on so we reccomend the same in his next home. He is crate trained; and is very comfortable and safe in his crate. He currently sleeps in his crate at night all night without a peep. He is a very sound and peaceful sleeper. He could definitely be in bed, or on his own bed at night if you choose, but as of now the crate is definitely a place he doesn't fuss about at all! He was never walked in his prior home, and was always carried around so leash training isn't something that was ever taught. We have had him on a harness, which he has done okay with but if you want him to walk, and not just carry him you'll need to continue to work with his leash confidence. He will figure it out in time if need be ❤️ His adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of his adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/prestonListings | BreadOfLifeK9Refuge It covers his neuter, vaccines, microchip, the treatment of a double ear infection, his antibiotic injection given to aid in the healing of his neuter, his exam with our vet, along with the care involved in the time he has been with us, his grooming, and his training we have personally done with him.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Preston, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
