Gigi

My story

A28357 Gigi is a brown colored, approximately 4-year-old, 51-pound, spayed female, Chow Chow mix. She entered the shelter as a stray on 06-04-2025 and was not reclaimed by her unknown owner. Gigi is a friendly, but timid and shy girl here at the shelter. She is still trying to figure out this shelter environment and why she is here. Our staff says she is still unsure right now and although she likes affection, she doesn’t come ask for it. She will just sit there very still while you pet her. She likes to be next to someone, but again well behaved just sitting quietly. She is going to need a patient owner who will give her the love and time to decompress and help her with her confidence and trust. She was easy to leash and walked well on the leash, with no pulling. She will need some training as she did not respond to any commands. She shows no interest in other dogs here at the shelter. We would recommend no small children just due to how unsure and nervous she is right now. Gigi will be a loyal, loving companion her new forever home.
