My story

Charlie came into the shelter as a stray when he was able to be contained in an area by a concerned neighbor, after he was discovered running loose for a week. No one in the community knew to whom he belonged and his finder kept him safe until Animal Control could respond to bring him here to safety. His family never came to the shelter to take him home, so now this handsome 1-year 6-month old brindle bullie mix is looking for a fresh start! Of course, coming to us as a stray limits us on what we know about who he was before coming here, so how he gets along with children or cats is unknown. What we can tell you since his arrival to us it that he met a similar sized neutered male, letting him sniff him all over with no concerns at all, and then he returned the gesture! After that, he immediately showed off his tail wags to his new friend! In order to get to his new friend to meet him, he did have to be picked up and carried; as the concept of a leash is one that seems to be very new to Charlie. We can tell you that he doesn`t mind one bit, being picked up or carried! Sweet boy! Please come and meet him in person to learn all about him! We always recommend meet and greets with other dogs and children with whom our dogs will share a home and spend time, prior to adoption. We can`t wait for his forever family to find him!! He is waiting on a kennel in our adoption kennel, so you may have to ask staff to meet him specifically until one opens up.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt CHARLIE, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
