Fergie loves to be outside basking in the sun while the humans tend to the garden. Her happy place seems to be alongside people and she quickly responds to recall training. She has a gentle spirit and while she can be playful, she is just as happy to relax and snuggle with everyone in the family. Her coat is so beautiful and soft, she’s a dream to pet. She picked up on house training and crate training in less than a week. Fergie loves her toys and taking walks. While she currently resides with a family with several young children, she does sometimes startle and would probably do best in a quieter adoptive home with older children.    About Me: Fergie came to us from Alabama as a stray. She and her siblings were fed and tended to by some kind folks in the neighborhood who knew these pups deserved a chance. Moments before being picked up by the pound to be euthanized, Fergie and her siblings were picked up by their caretakers and brought to HASRA and later transferred to Mending Spirits.  Her first few days in Minnesota were chilly so her human foster siblings covered her with blankets to warm her up. She seemed to appreciate the gesture and has adapted well to her new climate. Fergie loves belly rubs and treats. She responds very well to positive training experiences. She naturally has a calm, gentle personality. Fergie already knows common commands such at sit, down, stay, and out.  July 4, 2025, 2:05 pm
