My story

Joker is a 10-year-old sweetheart with the energy of a much younger pup and the soul of a loyal companion. He’s a Velcro dog through and through — if you’re looking for a best friend who wants nothing more than to be by your side, look no further. Joker came to our rescue in 2023 and was successfully treated for heartworm. He’s been thriving ever since and is on regular preventatives. His recent bloodwork panel came back completely normal, and he’s up to date on all his vaccines. He's healthy, happy, and ready to find his perfect match. His ideal home? One person, no other pets, no kids. Just you and him. Joker needs a quiet, structured household where he can be your one and only. While he isn’t reactive to other animals on walks and enjoys being out and about, he prefers to keep his living space just for him and his person. He’s a breeze to take places, excellent in the car (he loves it!), and completely house-trained. He enjoys visitors and handles new environments well. Joker is easy to manage, incredibly affectionate, and has plenty of pep in his step for adventures, walks, or just hanging out at home. Joker may have specific needs, but he gives back tenfold.
