My story

Hi there, my name is Daisy. I've come all the way from Puerto Rico to find a home. I originally arrived with my two babies, who have since been adopted, and now I'm ready for my turn. I've lived a rough life on the streets, shown in the way I still shy away from strangers and need a gentle hand to guide me. I don't think I had the best experiences with other dogs in the past, since I'm unsure of how to behave around them and need careful introductions. Because of my more timid, anxious nature I would thrive in a home with grown-ups only, particularly those who are experienced with the Belgian Malinois breed, one of the smartest dog breeds in the world. Like your average Belgian Mal, I love having activities and games! Toys and treats are my favorite, and engaging me with snacks and play is a great way to earn my trust. Plus, I'm still gaining weight since I didn't get enough food on the street and extra treats help a lot! If you give me a chance and lots of love, I will show you what a loving, sweet dog I can be.
