My story

Meet Spike, a 2-year-old Rottweiler mix who was transferred to Big Dog Ranch from a shelter in Miami-Dade County. He’s an active, strong dog with a playful personality and is now looking for a committed, experienced adopter who understands the needs of large, working breeds. Spike has a high energy level and will need daily physical exercise and mental stimulation to stay happy and well-behaved. He enjoys going on walks, playing with toys, and being involved in what’s going on around him. If you're looking for a dog who wants to stay busy and be part of your routine, Spike is a great match. He’s also very affectionate and enjoys cuddling with the people he trusts. While he can be a big goofball during playtime, he also settles nicely once he’s had enough activity. Spike is good with other dogs and may enjoy living with another dog who can match his energy level. Because of his breed and energy, Spike would do best in a home with someone who has previous experience with Rottweilers or similar breeds and understands how to provide structure, guidance, and ongoing training. Spike is looking for a home that can meet his needs and give him the consistency and care he deserves.
