My story

    Hi there! My name is Macho Max, and I’m a 1-year-old, small, mixed breed with a big personality packed into just 9 pounds of cuteness. I might have a little Chihuahua, a splash of Boston Terrier, and who knows what else in my genes, but whatever the mix, it made me irresistibly handsome! Don’t let my size fool you, as I’ve got a big dog attitude! I love to play, wrestle, chase toys, and gnaw on bones. I get along well with other small dogs and have lived peacefully with cats, too. I’m still full of that fun, puppy-like energy, so I’d thrive in a home where my people have time to play with me and snuggle up afterwards. I’m a world-class cuddler and won’t hesitate to sneak in a few kisses when I’m close to your face.   My foster mom likes to joke about my “meaty paws”. My two front feet are white with cute black speckles and a little oversized for my frame, which just adds to my charm. I walk well on a leash, though I might pull a bit from excitement, and I love to explore a fenced yard. At night, I sleep peacefully in my crate. I’m making great progress with house training, but I’ll need just a little more consistency and patience to perfect it.
