My story

Hi, I'm Raisin, a sweet 8-year-old Yorkie mix girl weighing 10 pounds. My story started with a kind stranger who found me and brought me to safety at a vet's office, where wonderful people helped me feel better. Now I'm learning what it means to be loved and cared for, though I'm still figuring it all out. I'm naturally a quiet soul – you'll never hear me bark – and I prefer peaceful, gentle environments where I can take things at my own pace. I'm doing well with my house training and I've discovered that walking on a leash isn't so scary after all. I get along beautifully with other animals, and I'm slowly learning that cuddling can actually be quite nice. One of my favorite activities is searching for lizards in the yard – I have an excellent memory for where I spotted them before! Sometimes I'll follow my foster person around the house, but I also treasure my quiet, independent moments. I'm looking for a patient, understanding family who will give me time to build trust and help me blossom into the confident little dog I know I can become. With gentle guidance and lots of love, I'm ready to discover just how wonderful life can be. Would you be willing to take this journey with me? Please fill out an application through the FCCR website, www.floridacockerrescue.org. ADOPTION FEE: $ 300.00

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Raisin, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
