My story

All About Me Name : Mickey Age : 2 years old Sex : Male Neutered/spayed : Yes Breed : Jindo mix Color : Black & White Weight : 9.5kg/21lbs Height(from the ground to the shoulder) : 40cm   My Health - DHLPP, Corona, Rabies : 2025. Feb. 25 - Kennel cough, Influenza : 2025. Mar. 09 - Heartworm : Negative, 2025.Feb.25 - No other health issues or allergies have been observed   My Personality Hello everyone! Let me introduce myself. My name is Mickey. Long story short, I was roaming on the street, did not know where to go and got captured by WanJu city shelter workers during very hot day in 2023. June. Since the city shelter can't keep all the unclaimed dogs forever, I was up on the euthanasia list. And warm hearted rescuer heard this news to save me. Even though I was found as a stray dog, I love people at glance! Many volunteers were surprise of my open loving personality, but for me, it's natural! How can't I love people? The volunteers saw me putting my ears back, and thought that I look like the Disney character 'Mickey mouse'! So this is how I got this name. In the very beginning, I like introducing myself slowly and carefully. I believe that this is how repectable dog behaves! But sometimes I get seduced by some tasty treats, I can't help myself!   Social Skills - With Dogs : I am cool with other dogs! I generally do not care about them much, I would prefer playing and having fun with people. I don't really guard my food around other doggy friends. I believe that this is not my last meal! When sometimes other dogs are challenging me, I just avoid any conflict and let it pass. I value peace over dominance. - With People : I am a people's dog. After the innitial introduction, I am willing to show my belly. I tend to love high pitch voice usually from women. Their voice soothes me and make me feel safe. When I feel good to open up, I will put my ears back and wag my tails. I know how to say I love you! - With Cats : I personally have never lived with cat, but I think they are cool! With slow introduction, I think that I can peacefully live with them as a gentle housemate. I have met cats sometimes, they are respectful and gentle. Willing to meet more of them!   Energy and Activities I would say that my energy level is moderate. I love outdoor activities, but I also love chilling on my own bed! Bed is so cozy. Volunteers and my foster parents have been providing me some good training for me to be good on the lead, and so far, I know how to walk well with a handler. Thanks to y'all! When there is something that appears suddenly and unexpectedly, I crouch down immediately rather than bolting! I still want to observe what it is next to you. I believe that you will protect me anyways! When I am walking with my foster family, I like walking in front of them, but when one of them is falling beind, I like to wait for them rather than moving forward. I like to put everyone on the same path, it makes me happy!   Training and Habits My foster mom has been providing me lots of love and affection! When I first arrived to her house, I just finished my long flight from Korea. Everything was new and strange, and I did not know what was going on. But my foster family provided me so much patience and love, so I could adjust myself quickly. And then, I was worried of being left alone again, so I used to cry and howl behind the closed door. But now I believe that they will always come back to me after a few nap! Thank you for providing me the trust and support, I now know that I can keep myself calm without being anxious.   Life at Home My foster mom likes to say that I am just a love bird. Every morning I would like to say hi to my family, and I thought that bringing my favorite toys to them will show enough love! And so far, they love my idea. When I give them my favorite toys, they give me a gentle scratch. It opens my morning! At this stage, I can't stop myself from rolling over to show my belly. I rather do my business outside of the house. I think it's much cleaner and makes me feel better!   My Ideal Home I feel that I am ready to give everything to my forever family. I have so much love and affection in my heart, and I have been waiting for a family who is ready to receive all! A family who likes to share their life with me, walks and cuddles together would be my ideal family.    For More YouTube Clips, Click Here! Mickey’s Playlist ##2417502##
