MAYA #5

My story

MEET MAYA #5!!! Maya is very friendly and eager to please. She loves belly rubs and likes being next to her people in the home. She likes to have a backyard to play and explore. She enjoys walks, treats, toys and chewing on toys. She has a regular schedule of morning/evening walks, playtime after breakfast and take naps most of the day. She gets excited for walks and then chill in the backyard before heading back inside. Maya is a goofball and will sleep anywhere: soft beds, hard floors and in the most awkward positions.  Maya is leash trained, house trained and crate trained. When she meets new people and dogs, her energy is high and requires some control to help to stay calm. She likes new dogs, but she tends to be high energy and a bit overwhelming to dogs on the first visit and can take 20-30 minutes to finally settle down. She does make a lot of noise when meeting new dogs on walks and requires attention to be diverted out of view. However, she is not aggressive nor does she hurt other dogs. She likes to play rough as well, so it can be hard to make friends from the get-go. She is getting better though and has been training on small areas of weakness. She does lot to hog toys, another area she is working on. She will do best with someone that can maintain her trained skills, keep a consistent schedule for her, and take her for walks or other activity to release energy.
