My story

Meet Luna!Luna is a sweet, toy-loving girl with a gentle heart who’s ready to find a quiet home where she can truly shine. She was described as playful and affectionate in her previous home, but her energy was sometimes a bit much for the youngest kids. At the shelter, Luna has been shy in new environments and prefers when people let her come to them at her own pace. Once she feels safe, she’ll lean in for neck scratches and melt into your lap with so much love to give. Luna has also met other dogs and is polite and curious, but she can get overwhelmed if they rush in too fast—so a slow introduction at home is best, and a dog-to-dog meet is required. She’s hoping for a calm, low-traffic home with adults or older, dog-savvy kids who understand her need for a little patience. Luna loves toys (especially tug-o-war!) and is housetrained when kept on a routine—she’ll even give a happy little pounce toward the door when she needs to go out!
