Meet Roxie! The cutie girl with bat wings for ears and the most affectionate personality! This happy girl is kid friendly, toy obsessed, and oh so incredibly precious! Roxie’s foster couldn't help but brag on how well Roxie plays with her autistic children and her other dogs! Her foster also said that she is a star student when it comes to riding in the car and she also does really well in her crate! When she spent some time with us, it was so cute to see her personality shine! She truly is a gem! We believe Roxie is a pittie mix around a year old. She weighs approximately 44 pounds and is the perfect size for cuddling! Due to Roxie being a rescue, age and breed cannot be guaranteed. Check out Roxie girl here:https://youtu.be/LktEbN0JgFQ I also wanted to note how well her table manners are! At one point, we were eating cheese sticks and Roxie didn’t jump on us at all to try to steal a bite. She sat patiently on the floor and gave us her sweet puppy eyes. And when we finally caved and gave her a taste, she so gently took it out of our hands and enjoyed her treat! What a good girl! When we introduced Roxie to some of our friends at Rustic, she was so happy to meet new dogs! She very quickly began to romp around the yard with them and sniff the entire property. We consider her to be dog friendly and would do well in a home with a medium energy pup who can acknowledge when it’s time to play and when it’s time to chill. Roxie currently lives with cats at her foster home and did so well when she met our housecat, Biggie. She gave him some interested sniffs and then left him alone. She is considered cat friendly and would be best in a home with a dog savvy kitty who is okay with puppy sniffs. Roxie LIT UP when she met some of the kiddos on site! The girls she met were 5 years old and she could hardly contain her excitement! Her tail was wagging side to side and you could see the joy she got from being around them! She would thrive in a home with older children around 5 or so that will be okay with happy puppy licks and nose boops! Roxie is a girl who really enjoys backyard time and exploring. She would do best in a home over an apartment lifestyle so that she can get the exercise and play daily that she loves so much! I honestly had so much fun with Roxie. She has this joyful personality that is contagious. Everyone who was around her couldn’t help but laugh and giggle at her cute ears and silly playstyle. She is going to make her future family very happy! Is Roxie your girl? Apply today! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/683b04190a65b851a2022d70 Questions? Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
