My story

When Reba first came into our care, she was barely hanging on—just over 3 pounds, with painful sores in her mouth, deep wounds on her paws, and a matted coat that had to be shaved off. But this senior girl had a spark in her, and we knew she deserved a second chance. Months later, Reba has made a stunning transformation. Her coat is growing back beautifully, her mouth is finally pain-free (all her teeth have been removed—but don’t worry, she still loves her dry food!), and those wounded paws now carry her proudly as she trots around the house. Reba has earned the right to take life at her own pace. She’s not a lap cat, but she is a gentle presence who appreciates her space and seeks out affection on her own terms—usually once a day, when she’s ready for a little love. She's incredibly food-motivated and will never say no to a crunchy treat. Reba is looking for a quiet, patient home where she can feel safe, comfortable, and cherished. If you’re someone who understands that love sometimes comes softly and slowly, Reba will be your steady, silent companion—proof that even the most fragile spirits can find strength again.
