My story

Hershey is a sweet female tabby who has been through quite a journey! She was rescued last year from the Coney Island Boardwalk, where she had been dumped. Found sitting calmly on a kind grandma’s lap, Hershey’s story began when rescuers were called to give her a second chance. Since then, Hershey has been spayed and vaccinated and is being cared for by a foster family. Hershey is a gentle soul who loves head rubs and gentle pets. She’s an independent cat who enjoys your company and shows her affection by rubbing against you and being nearby, but she also values her space and prefers to nap on the side. Hershey would thrive in a quiet, calm home, ideally a single-family household with no children and not too much activity. She’s okay with cats who are easygoing and mellow, but she would also be perfectly happy as the only cat in the house, enjoying peace and tranquility. She’s perfect for someone looking for a calm and gentle companion—a cat who may not be overly cuddly but still brings warmth and affection to the home. Hershey adores Churu treats and she’s ready to blossom in a calm furrever home where she can finally feel safe and loved. She is spayed, microchipped, tested FIV-/FeLV- and up to date on all vaccinations.
