Socialization/training: Hawk has been exposed to numerous and loves everyone. Hawk has not had much training except for walking on a leash and crate training due to having gone thru Heartworm treatment. Hawk was raised with a family who had kids. Crate trained: Definitely! Yes, he has had to spend a lot of quiet time recouping from his Heartworm treatment then neutering. Leash trained: Yes, Hawk does very well walking on leash especially since he likes to explore smells with his nose. Activity Level: Hawk is finally be able to run and play to his heart's content now that he has finished his Heartworm treatment. He had been trying to play with all of our dogs while on a 25 ft leash, but is much happier off leash in the yard. He plays with dogs of all sizes, and helps them hunt down any moles in the yard. He loves to run around for 15-30 minutes and then he wants to hang out with his people again. Fence: Hawk will require either a 6 ft privacy fence or a 5-6 ft regular fence;we had the opportunity to check him out in our fenced in yard today and he was fine as long as he had a canine companion. He might also be fine with an Invisible Fence, with proper training. I do know that he will destroy an outdoor kennel door to get out because he made a big hole in ours once he got here. Behavior: Hawk is a super sweet pup who loves everyone and craves attention! He has shown NO aggression here at all to us or any of our dogs sizes small to large. Medical History: Hawk is neutered, UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and has gone through heartworm treatment. He is on HWP. He also now wears a Seresto flea tick collar which is good for another 5 months of prevention. He does have some sensitivity to food, so he eats a special EN diet. Foster Comments: Hawk is so sweet and loves everyone! He was raised with a family with kids but owners got divorced so he was going to a shelter until rescue intervened. He just needs time to get adjusted in his new home and let out frequently to potty and exercise. Please be that person or family that will love him no matter what! Foster Location: Corydon, IN Volunteer transport can be arranged in the Continental US within a 1,000-mile distance between adopters & foster home.
