My story

Haskell, Erlang, and Racket (aka the Programming Kittens) are here to say hi! These beautiful babies were found at a construction site in DUMBO as tiny little babies, and have been making great strides in learning to love humans.  These three spend a lot of time snuggling and playing together, and get a lot of comfort from one another. Racket is the little gray girl (the smallest of the three, and the cat on the far right in the first photo), and she is also the shyest. She simply wants to make sure she trusts you before she lets you become her friend (but she is getting braver every day, and really learns from her brothers). She doesn't have a mean bone in her body, but will let out the occasional hiss to remind you who's boss (she literally does this while purring). Haskell (the big gray swirly boy, the middle photo) is the most loving, and when his purr motor gets going it's LOUD! He likes to play with his siblings, and end the play session with some human snuggles. He is such a sweet and loving little guy. He will twist around your legs, trying to rub on you as much as possible when you first get home. He enjoys snuggling on the bed, it's his favorite!  Erlang (the black cat on the left) is the biggest and most energetic of the bunch. He's sleek and black with a little white spot on his chest, and is always super fun to be around. He's very vocal, and loves humans but also loves to just run around and explore his surroundings. The two gray kitties have the prettiest pattern, they look gray but are actually stripey (people always ask if they're Russian Blue!)! These cats would be happy to be adopted as a trio, but they do not need to be adopted all together. All of them do need to be adopted with at least one age-appropriate friend -- applications for them as single kittens will not be answered. Our ideal pairing is Erlang and Racket or Haskell and Racket. Erlang and Haskell would be happy anywhere as they're very brave, but Racket needs to go with one of her brothers because she gets a lot of comfort and reassurance from them. June 20, 2025, 9:52 am

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Erlang, Haskell, & Racket, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
