My story

Meet Aurora – the snuggly little boss lady! At about 6 months old and about 25 pounds, Aurora may be small now, but she’s packed with personality and already running the show in her foster home. This adorable mix will likely grow to around 35-40 pounds, and she’s already proving she’ll be the queen of cuddles and comedy. Her DNA results show she's quite the mix. 45% American Staffordshire Terrier 20% American Pit Bull Terrier 19% Beagle 13% Boston Terrier 2% Bulldog 1% Boxer Aurora is full of puppy energy and joy. She loves people—especially if they have a lap to climb into or hands ready for pets. Don’t be surprised if she greets you with a kiss (or five). She hasn’t met strangers yet, but based on her affectionate and curious nature, we think she’ll be a social butterfly. Her bark sounds hilariously like Chewbacca, and she loves picking “fights” with her sister—although she often ends up pinned thanks to her smaller size. She’s still learning the ropes of puppy life, so potty training, leash walking, and manners are a work in progress. But she already knows the word “no” and is learning quickly. Aurora would thrive in a home that’s ready for all the ups and downs of puppyhood. She’s active, playful, and will need plenty of stimulation and love. While she hasn’t been around kids or cats yet, she plays well with dogs—though her play style is a little rowdy, so any resident pup should either be equally playful or very patient. Whether she ends up as your one-and-only or has a dog buddy, one thing is clear: Aurora prefers humans over everything else. She adores her people and will reward you daily with cuddles, tail wags, and ridiculous little sounds that only she can make. Aurora’s journey from uncertain beginnings to a thriving, confident puppy has been incredible to watch. She’s healthy, vaccinated, and ready to find her forever. Three words to sum her up? Loving. Bossy. Snuggle bug. Ready to welcome Aurora home? She’s ready to rule your heart. ———————————————————- The adoption donation for Aurora is $350. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention (age appropriate). Aurora will be adopted on a spay contract. If you would like to meet this dog, you must have an approved application on file and be willing to travel to the Mahoning County, Ohio area for a meet and greet. All of our dogs reside in foster homes. We do not have a physical shelter. Applications will be reviewed/approved and each dog will be placed in the home that can best meet their individual need. If you live in a residence with a Homeowner’s Association (HOA) please make sure you check that the dog you are interested in does not violate size or breed restrictions. A successful adoption is our goal. Submitting an application does not guarantee adoption of any dog. We require you call your established veterinarian asap to schedule a wellness visit.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Aurora, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
