Meet Agnes Bacardi: The Short Queen of Sass and Snacks 2 years, 4 months old | 50 lbs | English Bulldog-ish | Spayed | Wonky teeth, big energy, bigger opinions Looking for a roommate who snores louder than your uncle at Thanksgiving and refuses to acknowledge your existence unless snacks are involved? Say hello to Agnes Bacardi, the stubborn little wrecking ball your heart didn’t know it needed. Agnes is a bulldog, which means she’s built like a tank, snores like a freight train, and loves like a lap-sized teddy bear with attitude. She’s 50 pounds of affectionate chaos with a very short attention span and an even shorter tolerance for rules. She knows “sit” and “no”, but whether she chooses to participate is a daily gamble. Top Strengths: • Will physically melt into your lap despite being built like a cinderblock • Pulls on leash with the urgency of someone late to brunch • Self-washing model—no fancy grooming needed • Completely house- and crate-trained (though good luck getting her in the crate without a treat and some “gentle encouragement”) Health Notes: She’s currently being treated for Lyme (don’t worry—it’s managed with meds) and will always need a little extra TLC due to her smooshy face breed quirks—like heat sensitivity and the occasional bulldog-style ear situation. If you have prior “squish snout” experience, Agnes will love you even more (but still ignore you half the time). Dog-Friendly? Yes. Cat-Friendly? Also yes, if your cat is okay being chased like it’s a game. Kid-Tested? Not yet, but she’s sweet and sturdy. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, current on vaccines and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention (age appropriate). If you would like to meet this dog, you must have an approved application on file and be willing to travel to the Mahoning County, Ohio area for a meet and greet. All of our dogs reside in foster homes. We do not have a physical shelter. Applications will be reviewed/approved and each dog will be placed in the home that can best meet their individual need. If you live in a residence with a Homeowner’s Association (HOA) please make sure you check that the dog you are interested in does not violate size or breed restrictions. A successful adoption is our goal. Submitting an application does not guarantee adoption of any dog. We require you call your established veterinarian asap to schedule a wellness visit.
