My story

Meet Sophie! A very cute, about 25 lbs, girly with the most precious underbite. Sophie will require regular grooming. She is potty trained and kennel trained and walks well on her leash. As with any dog there's always room for improvement. She gets along with the other dogs in her foster home meaning she can coexist. She has started showing interest in playing with the smaller dogs. It takes her a little while to trust her dog pals and will give a curled lip warning if they are coming too close. She corrects really well and once she's comfortable/trusts them her bubble becomes much smaller and she's okay with sharing her space. She would be fine being an only pup or having a companion close to her size or smaller.  Sophie is an all around great girl and would do best in a home that can continue teaching her that being mouthy is not the way to greet visitors/get attention, terriers am I right?! This behavior landed her in a local shelter and when the rescue was notified we went to get her.  She is still decompressing from what we're sure was very confusing and stressful for her. She remains loving and happy to be back in a foster home environment. She can be a little shy at first but she comes around quite quickly!    We will be looking for the terrier loving (and understanding home) with teenage + kids or no kids in order to set her up for success!  ##1969144##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt SOPHIE, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
