My story

Meet Whisky, a deeply sensitive pup who’s still trying to understand that he’s safe. The shelter environment has been overwhelming for him, and he tends to keep his distance, often retreating to the back of his kennel and showing signs of stress when approached. Though he’s nervous and unsure, Whisky has shown brief moments of curiosity—like leaning in for a cautious sniff—which hint at the trust he may build over time. He walks on leash and may benefit from a calm, experienced home (with no children) or rescue where he can decompress, feel secure, and begin to come out of his shell at his own pace.This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the current shelter capacity. Currently the shelter is above capacity to adequately house and care for animals. This pet would benefit from individualized attention with a foster, adopter or rescue partner.
