My story

Meet Cher Bear! This perfect squishmallow (approximately 50 pounds) was transferred to the NHSPCA from an overcrowded shelter in Tennessee. She is a HUGE staff & volunteer favorite both here and at her Tennessee shelter due to her extremely loving nature. She adores being close to her human friends and is ALWAYS ready for a cuddle. Cher's classic move is to wiggle her way over to you, and flop on her back for belly rubs. She has a generally calm and relaxed demeanor, and spends most of her day snuggled up in her cozy bed. Her foster mom says she wants to crawl inside your skin, and is a total velcro dog. We've tried to catch her interest with a game of fetch, but she would much rather snuggle up to you, give you unlimited kisses, and attempt to be a lap dog. Cher enjoys walking in the trails through our property, sniffing as she goes, and will happily accept any snack you want to give her. She has done amazing with other dogs both here in NH and in Tennessee, but she is first and foremost a people dog. Cher is currently awaiting her furrever home in foster, while she heals from her recent TPLO surgery.
