My story

Looking for a lovable, oversized lap dog with a sweet soul? Scotty is your guy! This 4-year-old, 70 pound Lab mix is the definition of gentle giant. He’s phenomenal with dogs of all sizes—from picky adult pups to tiny 3-pound puppies. He recently met a 12-week-old pup at the vet and showered him with kisses like a doting mama. It was as adorable as it sounds. Scotty is a calm, people-loving sweetheart who would make an amazing addition to just about any family. New noises and sudden movements make him a little nervous, but never aggressive, always gentle. Having another dog in the house would help Scotty with his confidence.    Scotty loves being outside and playing with toys—especially the tiniest ones, which is hilarious considering his size.  He is working on basic commands, like sit, stay and come.  He’s learning how to walk on a leash very nicely. The only unknown is how he is with cats. He gets very excited when he sees them, but it’s unclear if it’s curiosity or a strong prey drive—so a cat-free home may be best for now. The adoption fee of $350 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED!
