My story

This handsome Hound mix is Midas! He arrived at the shelter as a lost boy on 5/23, and no one has come to reclaim him. Midas is now keeping his paws crossed for a new, forever home where he will be loved and kept safe so that he never ends up back in the shelter. Midas was so scared when he first arrived, but with attention, reassurance, and love from the volunteers and staff he has become quite the love bug! Midas does know how to sit nicely when asked. Please ensure you have the time, energy, and patience to commit to a young dog before adopting. Midas is approximately 2 years old and weighs 54 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines and did test negative for heartworms. He will be neutered and microchipped upon adoption. Midas is waiting patiently in run 85; his ID # is 10238. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
