My story

Hi&#44 Iandamp;#39;m Mulligan - a shy little lady with a gentle heart whoandamp;#39;s still figuring out how to feel safe in the world.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Iandamp;#39;ve lived in a home before&#44 so I know how special that can be. But things have been a little overwhelming lately&#44 and Iandamp;#39;m still learning to trust again. New people and loud noises can be scary for me&#44 so I really need someone who will go slow&#44 respect my space&#44 and let me come to them when Iandamp;#39;m ready. Using pet consent is key to helping me feel comfortable.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Once I start to settle&#44 youandamp;#39;ll see a softer side of me come through. I like snuffle mats the best&#44 and Iandamp;#39;ve started to show interest in toys - I even picked up a squeaky stuffy once and carried it around! But when I get startled&#44 especially by unexpected sounds or movement&#44 I can get overwhelmed and need some time to recover.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;I may have some reactivity when Iandamp;#39;m feeling scared or around other dogs&#44 so Iandamp;#39;ll do best with a thoughtful&#44 low-pressure home where I can decompress and feel safe.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;If youandamp;#39;re kind&#44 patient&#44 and willing to let me blossom at my own pace&#44 I think we could be something really special.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Mulligan, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
