My story

Meet Hank, a 5-year-old Shepherd mix who arrived at Big Dog Ranch after being surrendered by his previous owners who could no longer care for him. This handsome, high-energy boy is now looking for a forever home where he can stay active, loved, and understood. Hank would thrive with an adopter who has experience with Shepherds or similar working breeds, as well as general dog ownership experience. He’s smart, eager to please, and already knows basic commands. He’s also housetrained, which makes the transition into a new home a little easier! This playful guy loves toys, loves the water, and is always up for some fun. After a good play session, he’s more than happy to curl up for some cuddle time with his favorite people. Hank is good with other dogs and great with kids, but he should not live with cats due to his high prey drive. If you're an active family or individual with the experience to guide and engage a loyal, energetic companion, Hank could be your perfect match. He’s ready to bring joy, adventure, and plenty of love into your life!
