Pimento’s story began on the streets — pregnant, hungry, and alone, unsure of where her babies would come into the world. We don’t know how long she’d been fending for herself, but one thing was clear: this gentle girl never gave up hope! Just one week after being rescued, Pimento gave birth to five beautiful kittens. With unwavering devotion, she cared for them, never once leaving their side. She was a picture of quiet strength and love. Now, her kittens are growing up and finding homes of their own. And it’s finally Pimento’s turn. Because of her sad beginning and life on the streets, Pimento is FIV+. She is completely asymptomatic and all this means is that she has the antibodies. She can live a long, healthy happy life. You just have to remember that if she gets sick, you need to take her to the vet, like you would any other cat. This sweet, mellow mama asks for so little — a cozy perch where she can watch the world, soft neck scratches, belly rubs, and a few tasty treats (churrus are her absolute favorite). In return, she’ll give you a lifetime of quiet companionship, tender affection, and the kind of love only a once-lost soul can give. All of our cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested for FIV/FELV , and up to date on vaccinations including rabies, distemper, and de*wormer.
